Swim?
Based in Walyalup / Fremantle, Western Australia, Joseph Dennis founded Swim Type in 2021, running the studio semi-professionally, working with clients and partners from right next door, to the other side of the world, including Koto, For The People, Pretty–Soon® and Strong Feelings.
It exists as a place for play, experimentation and creativity – to dip a toe in, to test the water, to dive off the deep end, to immerse oneself – to swim. To build creative partnerships: working with art directors, photographers, illustrators, 3D designers, musicians, filmmakers, and writers to produce work that is engaging, meaningful and fun.
Freestyle
Every 2 months, a new wordmark is designed for the homepage and socials. Sometimes it will tease the release of a new typeface; sometimes it might coincide with the launch of a new project; or, it might be an isolated incident – an experiment in weirdness, wackyness and type design.
